EAGLES GET BONUS FOR ALGERIA WIN.


Super Eagles will enjoy a merry Christmas as they will be paid with bonus of $5,000-a-man for a 3-1 home win over Algeria in a World cup tie last Friday, officials have informed.
A top team official was compiling the account detail  of the players at the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
The players will be paid in the Nigeria at their official rate of N305b a dollar, meaning they will each pocket N1.5 million each.

TEKNO HAS BEEN REPORTEDLY DISQUALIFIED FROM THE HEADIES NEXT RATED AWARD.


Tekno has allegedly  been disqualified from the only award category he was nominated for at the Headies 2016.

NEW POLICY ON HOW TO MAKE A REPORT ON FINANCIAL CRIME AND EARN FROM THE RECOVERED SUM.

Nigerians can earn 5% of the recovered sum reported over a financial crime.The Nigerian government have currently approved  a policy that would see the end of financial crimes in the country.
The report says the policy was approved on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the meeting of the Federal  Executive Council, chaired by the President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Council Chamber of the Aso Villa Rock.
The government will set up a website, an e-mail, a phone number while animosity and whistle -blowers will be encouraged.The president said this is to strengthen and fight against corruption in the country.

RCCG PLANS GRASS-ROOT SPORTS DEVELOPMENT.

The Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 1 has joined the growing list of the religious churches being actively involved in sports.
The General overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch  Adejare Adeboye will on Monday, December 26, launch the provinces' maiden football league season tagged "5G Connection". The sports will be used to transform lives, change communities, shape future of nations, reduce crime, and also behavior  and increase ethnically and racism tolerance.

22 YEAR OLD MAN STABBED TO DEATH OVER N50 LOAF OF BREAD.

A 22-year old man was today, Tuesday, stabbed by a new military recruit over N50 local loaf of bread known as Madiga, at Ozizebiri  in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa.
The incident was said to have triggered violence int he area leading to burning of three houses.
The victim was identified as prince will, while the recruit, Ayibakare Oguo,26, stabbed the deceased following a fight.
The recruit also beat up the younger sister of the deceased over N50 madiga bread he bought on credit.
The deceased went to confront the recruit why he beat up his sister but instead the recruit stabvbed the man.
The military troops in that area are currents deployed to avoid crises in that area.

NIGERIANS EARN MORE IN OIL SECTOR AS OIL RISES TO $55.61

There are indications that Nigerians will earn more oil in 2017, January as price of oil yesterday rose to $55.61 per barrel.
Nigerians 2017 budget has been predicated on $42 per barrel.While benchmark Brent crude futures added 26 cents to 55.61 dollars.
The Nikkei added 0.3 percent in thin trade, while the Australia main index claimed to 0.6 percent to it's highest 17 months after wall street racked up more records.

NIGERIA FALLS AGAIN AT PARALLEL MARKET.

The Naira on Wednesday fell further to N492 TO A dollar at the parallel market, from N490 it closed on Tuesday, the news agency of Nigeria reported.
The pound sterling and euro closed at N605 and N505 respectively.
At the Bureau De Change (BDC) window, the Naira traded at N399 to a dollar, CBN rate, while the pound sterling and the euro closed at N604 and N510 respectively.
The Naira remained stable at the official inter-bank window, exchanging at N305.25  to a dollar.

POLITICAL MANEUVERINGS: BUHARI EXTENDS GENERAL TENURE BY ONE YEAR.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of tenure of the Chief of Defense staff, General Gabriel Abayomi Olonisakan by one year.
It was reportedly investigated that Buhari's decision to extend the tenure of the CDS which would have ended this weekend, was due to political maneuvering by vested interest who want to ensure that the two most powerful positions in the Military, that of the CDS and that of the Chief of Army Staff, remain the core north.
The CDS had commenced the gradual evacuation of his personal effect and belongings from the office.

2017 BUDGET: GOV.SHETTIM JUSTIFIES LION SHARE ALLOCATION TO EDUCATIONAL SECTOR.

Governor Kashim Shettima on Wednesday justified his allocation of lion share of the states' 2017 budget to the education sector, saying the amount was needed for the reconstruction of the schools destroyed by the insurgents.
Out of the N183.3 billion budgetary estimate for the incoming year, Education was allocated 33billion.
Explaining the rationale for the allocation , Shettima said the sector was worst hit by attacks of the Boko Haram and that his administration was taking steps to revamp education in the state.

RRS ARREST 5 ROBBERY SUSPECT IN LAGOS.

The Rapid Response Squad (RSS) of the Lagos State police command on Wednesday arrested five robbery suspects operating in different parts of the metropolis as resident engaged in shopping ahead of Christmas.
The team apprehended the suspects during a special raid on robbers who were attacking and dispossessing members of their valuables in  traffic.
The suspects have been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba  for further investigation .

FORMER DELTA STATE GOVERNOR RELEASED.

A UK court has ordered the immediate release of former Delta state governor, James Onaefe Ibori from prison on Wednesday, December 21.
The cable reports that associates confirmed that the former governor was released before his confiscation trail begins.
It was reportedly confirmed that the former governor was subsequently released from the custody shortly after ruling.

PLASTIC RICE INTERCEPTED.

The federal operations unit, Ikeja, of the Nigeria customs service has intercepted 102 bags of  plastic rice "Beat Tomato Rice" with no date of manufacture.
The customs area controller of F.U.O comptroller Mohammed Haruna, on Tuesday, Lagos said that the commodity was stored for distribution as Yuletide gifts of the public.
Haruna said that officers of the unit intercepted the plastic rice along Ikeja area on Monday, adding a suspect was arrested in connection with the seizure.

TEENAGE GIRL DIES AFTER BEING SENT OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR MENSTRUATING.

A 15-year-old girl was currently sent out of the house and banished from her family home in Nepal simply because she was menstruating.
The girl, was in a tiny shed for a long time that she suffocated from the smoke of the fire she lit to keep her warm.It is believed in her religion that anyone who menstruate is impure.This law has been banned in Chhaupadi since 2005 but some still practice, when females menstruate they are forbidden to talk to men or touch things like food and objects.

A 16-year old girl is allegedly carrying a 7month old pregnancy for a 56 year old prophet, prophet Taiwo Oluboyode, in Odode, Idanre area of Ondo state.
It was reportedly said that the suspect who owns a white garment church and currently in the police station, allegedly informed the interrogators that the act was the work of the devil.
The people of the community said the pastor did it to renew his spiritual power.
The church is currently under lock, while the members and leaders of the church have gone underground for fear of arrest.The pastor is yet to undergo persecution because he hasn't confessed yet.

Massive oil spills in Akwa Ibom communities, and leaves so many in distress.This is the sixth time, these communities will be suffering oil spillage this year.
The spill allegedly caused by the Niger Delta Avengers has impacted the ecosystem of the communities negatively.
The spill has been traced to Exxon Mobil installation located at Okposo, Atia, western end and Eastern end of Ibeno communities.
